from £180

Day One

You are welcome to arrive at the Mains Farm, any time after 1pm and park your car for the duration of your stay. You will then be shown to your room. Many of our guests use the afternoon to explore the local roads, loosen up their limbs after time spent in the car as well as checking and testing their machine. We will book you a table at one of the two excellent pubs in the village and will transport you there in our minibus - the walk back to Mains Farm is just under a mile and is a welcome stretch before bed - we recommend a good early night.

Day Two

We serve a bacon roll breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen - free range farm eggs for vegetarians - usually around 7:30. Whilst you are eating one of our team drivers will load your bikes onto our specially designed trailer. After breakfast we transport you to Whitehaven, our driver will take a "team photo" of you dipping your wheel in the Irish sea then you make a start. The first day in the saddle is the hardest and longest, at 63 miles. Packed lunches can be arranged, however in our experience most cyclists choose to bring their own food, as they know what their body wants and needs from their training and build up.

Having made it back to Mains Farm (usually between 4pm and 6pm) There will be plenty hot water in our ten showers and we provide tea and coffee making facilities in our communal kitchen. Another pre-booked meal at the pub, again with transport to the village included.

Day Three

Rise again for a marginally later breakfast, this is the "mountain stage" of the C2C with one categorised climb up to Hartside summit at 1900 feet (the only Summit finish on the Tour of Britain 2015). The flip side of this is that the stage is only 36 miles, to Rookhope. We can arrange to transfer your luggage to your overnight accommodation, however most prefer to travel light, bedding/towels are provided in the accommodation for day 3.We will make arrangements for bar meals.

Day Four

The last day! All that stands between you and the North Sea is 45 miles. One last big climb then descend into Newcastle and onto Tynemouth. Today you will take in the Tyne Bridge, St James' Park and The Sage Gallery. A wheel-dip in the sea signifies your completion of the tour. We will have made an arranged time to meet you at Tynemouth, one of our driver-team will load your bikes onto the trailer and bring you back to Mains Farm and your car. You are welcome to shower before you journey home.

Some riders who live further south choose to stay an extra night and take in a couple of celebratory pints in one of the pubs again. Obligatory transport will be provided!
